Strange in the Family was credited to Norman Horner, but in 2026 the actor David Jarrett revealed this was a pseudonym for the company's first resident writer, David Campton. It's not known why David wrote this play under a pseudonym - he wrote Usher (1962) as Jocelyn Graves, but that was perhaps because he also directed the play.
